Background

Starting with a formal degree in philosophy, Olivia Gambelin has developed a unique and foundationally sound discord on the AI revolution. A combination that has led her to shaping the direction of AI in both humanity and business. In 10 years of working with executive leadership she’s fundamentally shifted the direction of Fortune 500 companies in enterprise tech, legal organizations, health, and finance. Olivia’s work has codified what it means to build with human values that drastically increases revenue along the way.

Accomplishments

Her philosophical lens is what founded Ethical Intelligence, the world's largest network of Responsible AI leaders, and led to her first book Responsible AI: Implement an Ethical Approach in Your Organization with Kogan Page Publishing. This book, along with Olivia’s Values Canvas has been globally adopted as a playbook for building AI strategy, winning multiple awards, and setting a new precedence for tactical strategy in AI.

To take things further, she's also co-founder of Women Shaping the Future of Responsible AI (WSFR.AI), a founding Editorial Board member for Springer Nature's AI and Ethics Journal, and sits as an advisor for the Ethical AI Governance Group (EAIGG) and The Data Tank.

Throughout this time, she continues to bridge the gap between US and EU policies at her homes in Brussels, Belgium — the heart of European Parliament — and San Francisco, California — the world’s leading innovation center — all while advising and consulting with enterprise companies to build lasting AI initiatives.

Olivia is now deep in the manuscript of her second book, Not Every Solution Has a Problem, where she’s defining the problems we’re meant to solve for ourselves and those best suited for AI.
